About LIT'L OSCers

The program focuses on the relationship the child has with the sport. We seek to build passion in each child that will translate over to them wanting to develop their skill set.

At level one, our youngest OSCers, we establish the relationship with the family, Oneonta Soccer Club is a community of people who share in the love for the “beautiful game”. At 18 mos we keep the expectations low and fun high. The kids get their own ball to use for this level and the next, we hope this will become a keepsake that the child can have with them always.

At level two we focus on touching the ball more, giving more direction to focus the parent-child interaction on developing skills the child will need to play the game. Each and every session will always include free play, some instruction and way of engaging the child that allows them to be creative with their bodies.

Finally, at level three, we offer the child a more game-like experience. This is not a league and again focuses on touches on the ball, finishing on the goal and for the first time introducing the child to a real pitch. Oneonta Soccer Club currently utilizes some of the best fields in the area and allocates space for this program every fall and spring.

Lit’l OSCers was born out of passion for the game and wanting to pass on that passion with the youth of the area. The director of the program, Chad Angellotti, is a license holder with US Soccer and has been coaching for the club 5+ years. He brings a developmentally appropriate curriculum to life with encouragement to make mistakes, give maximum effort and always have fun.
